Jackson opened up about her struggles before winning the 2022 and 2023 World Championships. She admitted she was a little bit hard on herself after the 2022 100m but was happy because she didn’t end up getting any bronze medal. She was fed up with the fact that she had been clinching bronze constantly since 2015 and 2022 was a changer for her.

Shericka also revealed her feelings after winning this. She expressed, “After I ran the semifinal at the World Championship I had a probably five-second mini breakdown”.

She further revealed that it was because all her memories of not being able to qualify in the 200 for the 2020 Olympics came back rushing to her and she couldn’t contain it. Shericka Jackson also stunned the track world by clocking 21.41 in the 200m again at the 2023 World Championships. With this, she also revealed about the biggest hurt she faced in 2021 even after winning several medals.
