Gervonta Davis is on a mission to make the world a better place, but things don’t seem to be working out for the Baltimore native. Not so long ago, the undefeated pugilist tried to give back to the community through affordable housing. However, things took a turn for the worse when tragedy struck. Yet, that’s not the end of his misery!
Back in July this year, Davis was released from prison after serving 44 days in a detention center. Before that, the Baltimore native was sentenced to 90 days in house arrest concerning his hit-and-run case. However, he violated the terms of the house arrest and was sent to prison. The incident is still haunting the WBA light heavyweight champion as he turned to X with some serious allegations because of being denied a visit to his family for Christmas.
Gervonta Davis claims the judge has something against him
Yesterday, the 29-year-old claimed that the judge in charge of his case had denied him from visiting his children or starting training camp for his next fight. He went on to suggest that he obliged with everything he was asked to do. However, Davis alleges that the judge has some personal vendetta against him that he is not aware of.

“The judge will not let go home to spend Christmas w my kids or to start train for camp..I completed everything that I supposed to. This lady have something against me, idk why,” Davis wrote in his recent tweet. The update comes after his recent efforts to provide housing in his childhood neighborhood of Sandtown, Winchester. Here’s the entire scoop!
Affordable housing lit up in fire
Earlier this year, Davis received praise from the boxing world and beyond for providing a Thanksgiving dinner for Baltimore natives. However, as Christmas and the cold that comes with it is here, Davis decided to buy a nine-house block in his old neighborhood. He was planning to renovate those houses and turn them into affordable houses for the needy.

However, much like his hit-and-run case, things took a drastic turn when some of the homes caught fire. Even though the situation was brought under control by emergency services, later, people saw smoke billowing out of the windows of one of the nine buildings. Davis’ trainer, Calvin Ford, caught the incident on camera and later posted it on Instagram.
