“Cap”: With $100 Million Still Due for Draymond Green, Ex-Stars Question 4X Champ’s Retirement Story With Adam Silver

Draymond Green is finally eligible to suit up for the Golden State Warriors. He was reinstated by the NBA following a 12-game suspension for taking a swing at Suns Center Jusuf Nurkic and making excessive contact with his head. During the suspension, Draymond went through counselling to reflect on his actions and get better. He revealed on his podcast that he even considered retiring and had a conversation about it with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

However, former NBA players called “Cap” on Draymond Green’s retirement story because of the $100 million due on his contract.

NBA legends react to Draymond Green’s retirement story

NBA legends Gilbert Arenas, Kenyon Martin, and Nick Young, discussed Draymond Green’s return from suspension on the Gil’s Arena podcast. During the episode, they played the video of Draymond talking about his conversation with Adam Silver. Green claimed that he told Silver, “It’s all becoming too much for me, and I’m going to retire.” The 4-time Champion was talked out of retirement by the NBA Commissioner. When Kenyon Martin was asked about what he thought of Green’s story, he responded, “I call cap if I look at the money aspect.”
