Errol Spence Jr. seems to have landed the knock-down shot. At least for now! But the bout’s not happening in a ring. It’s rather a slanging match, and it’s unfolding in the vast social media arena. Why? It seems like a user tried baiting the former world champion as the news of his cataract surgery seeped in.

Early today, news came that Errol Spence Jr. had to undergo surgery to remove a cataract from one of his eyes. Per his version, it was long-delayed. However, it seems he stated what might be the reason for his receiving so many shots in the last fight. He suffered a career-first loss to Terence Crawford on July 29 last year. Though he has triggered the rematch clause, Spence Jr. has yet to make a return to the ring. However, using the statement, when a user playfully threw a jab in the conversation, Spence Jr. swiftly countered with one, or rather, as it appears, a few of his own.
