Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber are about to welcome a new addition to their family! The couple, who have been married for almost three years, announced on May 9th that they are expecting their first child together. The news was shared through a heartwarming video posted on their Instagram accounts, showing Hailey in a beautiful lacy dress that accentuated her baby bump while Justin lovingly kissed her.
This exciting news comes after the couple tied the knot in a New York City courthouse in September 2018, just two months after getting engaged. They later had a lavish wedding ceremony in South Carolina to celebrate their union. Since then, both Justin, 27, and Hailey, 27, have been open about their plans to start a family together.
In October 2019, the Grammy winner hinted at his desire to have kids of his own one day by posting a video of a father playing with his baby on Instagram. He wrote, “This is something I look forward to.” During a February 2020 interview with Zane Lowe, Justin further expressed his plans to start a family “in due time.” He explained that he wanted to enjoy being married, go on tour, and build their relationship before taking the next steps.
When asked about the hold-up on their baby plans during his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in December 2020, Justin replied, “I think Hailey still has things she wants to accomplish as a woman, and I think she just wants to take her time, and that’s okay.” He also mentioned that he didn’t have a specific number of kids in mind and would have as many as Hailey wanted.
In the Amazon Prime documentary, “Justin Bieber: Our World,” the couple gave fans a glimpse into their family discussions. During a candid conversation, Justin told Hailey, “My intention for 2021 is to continue to set goals and have fun while doing them. Make sure I put my family first. And, hopefully, we squish out a little nugget.” To which Hailey responded with surprise, “In 2021?!” Justin then clarified that they would start trying at the end of 2021.

She shared, “We were having pillow talk conversations, with him telling me my biggest goal in life is to have a healthy family. In my head, I’m just like, ‘I just don’t think that that is BS because he doesn’t have to say that.'” Hailey also mentioned that they both wanted to get married and start a family at a young age.
