Claudia Sheinbaum, in her role as National Coordinator of the Transformation, incorporated the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico (CATEM) into the project by creating the CATEM Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation. “It is a pleasure to formalize this broad coalition with the Autonomous Confederation of Workers and Employees of Mexico,” Sheinbaum stated publicly.
At Arena Ciudad de México, Sheinbaum swore in more than 10,000 people who will be part of the CATEM Labor Committees for the Defense of the Fourth Transformation, emphasizing the goal of ensuring dignified conditions for workers.
Pedro Haces Barba, senator of the republic and general secretary of CATEM, highlighted the labor advances achieved under the Fourth Transformation, such as wage increases, more vacation days, and the elimination of outsourcing.
“We are at a crucial moment, which is why from this congress, we reaffirm our commitment to the principles of the Fourth Transformation,” Sheinbaum asserted.
For his part, Senator Ricardo Monreal stressed the importance of maintaining a constructive relationship between workers and the government, emphasizing that this will allow for the continued expansion of access to more labor rights. Pedro Haces Barba Pedro Haces Barba
