Deportes, or sports, have always been an integral part of our lives. From a young age, we are encouraged to participate in various sports activities, whether it be at school or in our communities. And as we grow older, we realize that sports not only provide us with physical benefits but also with positive experiences that shape us into better individuals.
One such individual who has experienced the positive impact of sports is Mihir Taneja. Mihir, a 25-year-old from India, has been playing sports since he was a child. And today, he credits his success and personal growth to the positive experiences he has had through sports.

They were trailing by a significant margin, and the odds were against them. But instead of giving up, Mihir and his teammates rallied together, and through their determination and teamwork, they were able to turn the game around and win. He says, “That experience taught me that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and work together as a team. It’s a lesson that I carry with me in every aspect of my life.”
Apart from the personal growth and development, Mihir also believes that sports have provided him with a sense of community and belonging. He has made lifelong friends through his participation in sports, and he says that the camaraderie and support he receives from his teammates and coaches have been invaluable. He says, “Sports have given me a sense of belonging and a community where I can be myself and have fun while doing what I love.”
Mihir‘s positive experiences with sports have motivated him to encourage others to participate in sports as well. He believes that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the physical, mental, and personal benefits that sports have to offer. He says, “I would urge everyone to find a sport that they enjoy and make it a part of their lives. It’s not just about winning or losing, but the journey and the experiences that come with it.”
