Dems silent on Minnesota church disruption after pressing Bondi to use FACE Act

In recent years, there has been a growing trend of Democrats calling for the strict enforcement of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act against pro-life protesters. This law, passed in 1994, prohibits the obstruction of access to reproductive health clinics and the intimidation of patients and staff. However, it seems that these same Democrats are now remaining silent when it comes to prosecuting those who disrupt church services.

This double standard has not gone unnoticed by many, and it raises questions about the true motives behind the calls for the enforcement of the FACE Act. Is it really about protecting the rights of women and ensuring access to healthcare, or is it simply a political tool to silence those with opposing views?

One of the most glaring examples of this hypocrisy is the case of Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi. In 2017, Bondi was targeted by a group of pro-life protesters while attending a movie screening. The protesters, who were exercising their right to free speech, were accused of violating the FACE Act and were met with calls from Democrats to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

At the time, Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein stated, “I hope you will fully enforce the FACE Act against these individuals.” Similar sentiments were echoed by other Democrats, including Senator Chuck Schumer and Representative Nancy Pelosi. They all demanded that Bondi take action against the protesters and uphold the law.

Fast forward to 2020, and we see a different story when it comes to enforcing the law against those who disrupt church services. In recent months, there have been numerous incidents of protesters interrupting church services, harassing and intimidating congregants, and even vandalizing church property. These actions not only violate the rights of those attending church, but they also go against the FACE Act.

Yet, when asked about prosecuting these disruptors, the same Democrats who were so vocal about enforcing the FACE Act against pro-life protesters are now remaining silent. Where is the call for “full enforcement” of the law in these cases? Why the sudden change in stance?

The answer is simple – it doesn’t fit their political agenda. While the FACE Act may be a useful tool for silencing pro-life voices, it becomes inconvenient when it comes to protecting the rights of those with opposing views. It seems that for these Democrats, the law is only worth enforcing when it aligns with their beliefs.

This blatant double standard is not only concerning, but it also undermines the credibility of those who claim to stand for justice and equality. How can we trust politicians who pick and choose which laws to enforce based on their own personal beliefs?

Furthermore, the lack of action against church disruptors sends a dangerous message that it is acceptable to violate the rights of others as long as it serves a political agenda. This sets a dangerous precedent and could lead to further acts of violence and intimidation against religious groups.

It is time for Democrats to be consistent in their calls for the enforcement of the law. If they truly believe in upholding the FACE Act, then they should also be advocating for the prosecution of those who disrupt church services. Anything less is a disservice to the American people and a betrayal of the values of justice and equality.

In conclusion, the silence of Democrats when it comes to prosecuting church disruptors is a clear display of their double standard and political agenda. It is time for them to be held accountable and to stand by their calls for the full enforcement of the FACE Act. We cannot allow the law to be used as a weapon to silence certain voices while turning a blind eye to others. Justice must be blind and applied equally to all, regardless of political beliefs.
