The man, who introduced himself as Jake, seemed like a kind and friendly person. He told Corrine that he had moved to the area to start a small farm and was looking for some help with the animals. Corrine, who had been feeling stuck in her job lately, felt a spark of excitement at this unexpected opportunity.
